One of the Foundation’s main objectives is to achieve sustainable development and economic growth, alleviate poverty, enhance the standard of living and quality of life for the victims. It’s a well known fact that women are the backbone of many African economies and also play key roles in the economy.

Economic empowerment of women not only positively impacts their own life situations but is also central to mobilising their potential for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Women spend a higher percentage of their income on feeding and educating their children, which is aimed at the wellbeing of their families.

Economic independence of women, is crucial as it counteracts exploitation, feminization of poverty, discrimination and disregards of their fundamental human right. Gender equality at the economic level therefore contributes directly to the reduction of poverty and overall development. The WKF Financial Freedom program centers on the following activities;
